Join us for the FIRST City Nature Challenge in South Dakota. How can you participate?

• Observe a wild plant or animal in the Pierre/Fort Pierre area and surrounding counties. (Hughes, Jones, Lyman, Stanley, Sully) from 12:01 AM Friday April 29 - 11:59 PM Monday May 2.
• Take a photo.
• Add it to iNaturalist either through the app or website.

Your observation will automatically be added to the Pierre/Fort Pierre City Nature Challenge where it will be counted with other observations made during the same time period in the 5 county region. 

For our first City Nature Challenge we've set an ambitious goal: 250 observations of wild (not captive or cultivated) plants or animals. What is meant by wild? Anything that is not one of the 5 Ps: no people, no pets, no potted plants, no planted landscaping.
