2024 SDDC LEGO League Team Member Registration

We are so happy that you are joining the South Dakota Discovery Center (SDDC) FIRST LEGO League Challenge (4th-8th grade) Team!

Together we will dive into STEM and robotics while building teamwork skills as we complete fun, engaging challenges based on real-world themes.

Please note that parents are expected to attend at least three coach-led practices to help assist the coach. You can find our team practice schedule on the main SDDC LEGO League webpage. Coached-led practices will be held at the South Dakota Discovery Center from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm CST on Mondays and Fridays. Open practices are from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Wednesdays. The 2024-2025 season theme is “SUBMERGED.” In the SUBMERGED℠ challenge, FIRST® LEGO® League teams will use creative thinking and LEGO® technology to explore the layers of the ocean and bring their learnings and ideas to the surface as they “sea” into the future. Teams will practice in the SDDC Exhibit Hall in Pierre and are expected to meet up to four hours per week during the season, which lasts through January, and there will be a team showcase on January 29, 2025, from 1:00pm-4:00pm, during the South Dakota Discovery Center’s Robotics Day.
